REVIEW: ColourPop Lippie Stix in Bichette

Damn. This company is taking hold of my monies! Why do they have to be THAT great!? *Sigh* It's for the best, because we needed a company with amazing high quality lipsticks on the cheap! I reviewed ColourPop's Lippie Stix in Button just the other day, and this one (Bichette) is just as amazing! I wore this one out the other day, and even when it did start to fade, it had stained my lips quite a bit so that it didn't look silly. Because the quality is the same as Button's, this review is going to be very short and to the point: These are long lasting, super creamy, non-drying, opaque lipsticks that will rock your face off--and here's the BEST part...they are only $5.00! Why are you sitting here reading this when you could be buying some of their Lippie Stix!? For real I'm in love with these things.

Bichette is a solid deep bright red. If you have olive skin (like myself) this red will absolutely flatter your tone!

This is literally one application. One swipe guys...it's extremely opaque without that "cakey-way-too-much-product" feeling!

I'm so happy with my purchase from ColourPop! I've loved every single Lippie Stix that I own. They last longer than any of my drugstore lipsticks, and you just cannot beat the price guys! They retail for $5.00, and you get free shipping on orders over $30!

Dear Readers: Update, Advice Needed and Future plans with the Blog!

Gah! I miss you guys so much! I have so much to say, so here's what's been going on:

I have SO many new products to swatch and share with you, but my internet isn't the best...it's been pretty hard to upload anything without killing my data plan. (I've been using my phone's data, and I only get 3 gigs a month) We had our internet turned off right after my Dad passed away because we were planning on moving and couldn't know for certain whether the provider could transfer the services to the new place. The place we were hoping to get fell through our hands, so we found a new place and will hopefully be accepted/moved in by the end of next week! My boyfriend and I will have a 2 bedroom place, and I'm using the second bedroom as a studio! (I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THAT!) That means I will have enough room to buy umbrella lamps, a diva ring light, a better camera and tripod for filming and a bigger softbox for taking pics! So there's a TON of things I will be doing here on the blog site such as:

- Inviting friends over to film makeovers. I realize that everyone's eye shape/face shape is different, and I'd like to expand my tutorials to help others better.

- I will be doing Nail Tutorials. Awww yiss! I have a few friends who have volunteered to lend me their nails!

- I will hopefully be doing hair tutorials.

- I'll be doing random Outfit Of The Day posts.

- I will have more space/better equipment to film Lactic Acid Peel Tutorials.

- I may possibly start a page on the blog that's more geared towards my Lifestyle, so that way you guys can get to know me, and I hope that I can get to know you guys a bit better too! Internet friends are always welcome!

- I'm hoping to start a blogroll. If you are a beauty blogger/youtuber, please email me your links. I'd love to share them with everyone on my sidebar!

- I'd like to plan a youtuber/blogger Meet & Greet  for those of us in the Midwest. Please email me if interested! (There's only 2 of us so far, lol!)

- I'd like to take blogging to the next level. One day, I hope to make it a full-time job. Since I started learning how to apply makeup, my confidence has grown so much. I also really enjoy sharing this passion and love for makeup with others!

- I'd also like to work on my indie brand. I just don't have enough space at my current residence to get much work done, so I cannot wait to move, and I will keep you guys updated!

I'd also love some advice!

I'm planning on doing some DIY projects for my makeup room (studio) and I know I'd like to make my own decor, and I'd love some makeup storage ideas! How do you guys store your beauty products? What ideas have you stumbled across on the internet that are unique and fun? Please do share these ideas with me!

So much is going on, and I can't wait to take you guys with me on my journey! I've been instagramming daily, lol...so you can always follow me (muanikkizollman) on there, for more Face of the Day's, Eyeshadow Looks, Nails of the Day posts, etc.

After the move, there will be more Giveaways as well. I plan on doing one for Instagram, Youtube, Facebook and my blog all at the same time once a month! You guys have inspired me to work harder and grow! I appreciate you guys so much, and I can't wait to share all of these things with you!

REVIEW: ColourPop Lippie Stix in Button!

I finally hopped onto the bandwagon and boy am I glad that I did! I purchased a total of 5 Lippie Stix from ColourPop, a few being more neutral shades and a few bright/dark reds. I'm going to just rave during this whole freaking post because on a scale of 1 to 10, these are the shit! The shade I'm reviewing is Button which can be purchased here. The formula is a 5-star creamy, long-lasting concoction of awesomeness that does not dry my lips out, and the pigmentation is opaque as all get out! Seriously guys, I wish I had like a million of these things right here, right now to just smear all over my face--um, I mean, to swatch all day. *cough* This product is honestly just that great!

Drumroll please......Ta-Da! Swatchie-swatchity goodness!

http://colourpop.com/product/button/

This color is a peachy, nude beige.

http://colourpop.com/product/button/

It's full coverage--this was one layer on my lips.

http://colourpop.com/product/button/

Again, full coverage. This product is outrageous! The price is seriously $5.00 per Lippie Stix, and it lasted quite some time (3-4 hours without touch-ups) so I'm pleasantly surprised and overjoyed at how great these are and now I'm dying to try their blushes and eyeshadow! For that price, you do get a decent amount of product. Since it's full coverage, there's no need to apply layer after layer to achieve a nice solid coat of color. A little bit truly goes a long way! Have you tried ColourPop yet? What's your fave Lippie Stix? I can't wait to post more swatches and reviews of my haul for you guys!

These are like Pokemon guys, I GOTTA CATCH THEM ALL...

Nails of the Week! Julep's Bergen & Emerson Make A Stunning Combination...

It's been a hot minute since I made a nail post. I ended up purchasing 40 polishes over the past 2 months and I sadly just didn't really have the time to thoroughly enjoy them until now! I feel like a freaking kid in a candy store--I want ALL THE COLORS. So without further adieu, I bring you a beautiful, simple baby blue spotted set thanks to Julep's Bergen and Emerson!

Ta-da! It reminds me a bit of a Robin's Egg.
I applied one coat of Bergen first, and then one coat of Emerson to get this look.

Emerson seems to be sold out right now. I'm thinking about grabbing another when it's back in stock since it's on sale!
Bergen is such a gorgeous color!

Julep is an awesome brand. I have over 60 of their nail polishes and I love bringing a few to work to show off to my coworkers. Quite a few of my coworkers are nail-savvy and I've enabled their Julep addiction, ha ha ha. Most of their nail polishes are $14.00 but you can almost always find a few on sale. I love their formula! It lasts me 1-2 weeks which is awesome since I'm always super busy. (I'm also madly in love with their Freedom Polymer Topcoat--that shit's SO cash and it keeps my nails looking amazing week after week!)

The light blue with black specks is Emerson. By itself it makes a beautiful jelly shade that's fairly translucent. It would be so perfect for a "Jelly Sandwich." The light silvery blue shade is Bergen. I've been wearing Bergen on my toenails for weeks now, lol! My roommate's friend came by and while we were hanging out in the living room chatting, she complimented my toenail polish and I'd just decided that I'd wear it for a while...(partly because I was too busy to change them up I guess, but I really do think the color is a very unique shade) I mean, is it blue? Is it silver? No. It's Superman--erm I mean Bergen. So Bergen it is and will be at least for a bit longer, ha ha ha!

I love light blue hues for Spring. It's a trademark of nicer weather and reminds me of sunny days with light blue skies.

What colors remind you of Spring?

Elf's New Skincare Line! Review of Ingredients!

First off--I searched high and low for a GOOD review on these products before I purchased them. All I found were girls talking a bit about the product...never did I find a video/blog on WHY these items would work for anyone. I'm here to blow your minds with research! I'm not as educated on skincare as I'd like to be, but I have been doing quite a bit of research the past 2 years on what ingredients do what, how much percentage of an ingredient will be enough to show results, where ingredients come from etc. I want to know exactly what I'm putting onto my face and I want to know if a product is worth the hype/price. I'm not fond of just throwing money away to a high end/luxury company if the product isn't going to do a damn thing for me. I'd much rather spend that money on things like: Shoes, Purses, Jewelry, Clothes, More Makeup, Books, Electronic Devices and the like.  Don't get me wrong--I don't mind spending a small chunk of cash on something if it's tried and true for me! I have a deep and fond love for Elf Cosmetics and I'd rather NOT waste money playing a guessing game and having to watch videos of girls twisting their hair around their fingers while saying, "I like this product because...I didn't like this product because..." I don't care whether or not THEY like it. I just want to know the BENEFITS. PERIOD. That way I can discern if the product is right for ME. Sorry for the rant, but DAMN! I feel like some reviews aren't even really REVIEWS anymore...I try my best to be thorough when it comes to skincare because what may work for me may not work for someone else, and I'd hate to be the reason someone ended up with a product that they do not like.

**Disclaimer** I have not yet used these products. I will in about a half an hour, and while others will blog/review a product within the first week of it's use, it's NOT thorough. It takes a while to see results and even if a product works great within a week--it may take a turn for the worse by the end of a 4 week period.

So let's get down to business!

Here's the Lineup!

From Left to Right: Elf Daily Hydration Moisturizer, Elf Illuminating Eye Cream, Elf Nourishing Night Cream, Elf Soothing Serum.

So Let's Start With The Day Products in Order of Application:

Saccharum Oficcinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract: Main source of Glycolic Acid which is Huuuuge in the world of anti-aging ingredients. It's an AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) which are formerly known as main ingredients in skin resurfacing/light facial peels. (this means that it's a light exfoliant that will help clear the skin of dull and dead skin cells!)

Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract: Another AHA or Alpha Hydroxy Acid. Gently removes dead skin cells to show radiant fresh ones, causing a "glow" on the skin.  Minimizes and repairs damage of the skin.

Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract: Anti-inflammatory that's a natural source of Vitamin C. Vitamin C has anti-aging properties, helps collagen production, brightens the skin, fades skin discoloration.

To Sum It Up: I am absolutely THRILLED that this has AHA's for an amazing price! I just purchased a few products from Paula's Choice, because of the AHA's in them. Elf did not really say much about the fact that it has these in the product and they totally SHOULD! It's not only very popular right now, but it's an amazing selling point! This product will tighten and brighten my skin while protecting it from pollution and it even fights existing wrinkles as well as prevents them! How awesome is that!? Yeah, I can't wait to see how this stuff does! You get a great amount of product for the price too--I'm so stoked about this bottle!

Illuminating Eye Cream: $10.00 .49 oz.

This is absolutely something you should try if you have under eye issues. This is nice because it protects your skin from free radicals, gives your skin moisture, vitamin C and relieves puffiness. It also has a pretty neat "cooling" effect when you apply it. Neat!

I can't wait to post a thorough review for everyone! I was a bit late to purchase these, but after researching the ingredients, these are going to be amazing, and I want to share my results with you! Do any of you have these yet? Have you tried them? If so, what are your opinions of these products? Let me know what you think!

REVIEW: Smashbox On The Rocks (The Large Palette!)

And Smashbox strikes again with another sock-rockin, buttery, shimmery palette that makes angels sing beautiful choruses in the background every time I look at it! My mind has been blown at how awesome the quality of this palette is! I have a new fave go-to matte eye look with this thing, and I love it so much that I've worn the same look 4 times already this past week! This whole post is going to be nothing but praise, so be prepared for that and I promise I'll try to keep my jaw from off of the floor as I type.

BAM. In all of it's prism-like glory. On a scale of 1 to 10, this palette is THE SHIT.

All dat rainbow...seriously, this palette's packaging is so gorgeous and shiny!

It even has a cute little gem in the very center. Cute.

And the formula is EXACTLY what you'd expect--pigmented, dreamy, creamy, buttery and soft as silk. It glides right on without any effort and it stays put when you were a good primer. the ONLY downfall of this palette is literally just one eyeshadow. It's a glittery white one, and the payoff isn't anything like the others. The formula of that single shade may have been created like that on purpose to add a sheer sparkle when applied on top of the other colors...but by itself it's less than sub-par.

The shades on the left of the palette:

The shades in the center of the palette:

The shades on the right of the palette:

The colors last on my oily lids all day without a need for touch-ups. I do wear a primer of course. The blendability is top notch and the color selection is very beautiful--mattes, shimmery shades, nudes, jewel-tones and it's perfect for an every day work look as well as an evening on the town. This palette will fit your style--whatever it may be and is one of the most universal palettes I own to date.

I am so glad that I have this palette in my collection! I've been using it almost daily for a week now and I gotta say that I'll be sad when I hit pan on any of the shades. I'm even contemplating buying a backup because this is a Holiday item, and of course will be discontinued. If you have been thinking of purchasing this palette, you absolutely should while you still can! It's worth every penny, and I'm sure that you will adore it as soon as you swatch it!
