*REVIEW* Fresh N' Geeky Perfume Oils! (AMAZING!)

This is going to be my first perfume review. That means I'm nervous and excited about it! I'm just going to jump into this review because I really enjoyed these scents!

Fresh N' Geeky is a shop on The owner was kind enough to send me a few scents to review as well as a duplicate perfume for my giveaway that's happening right now on my sidebar------>

So let's check out her shop! (The banner link will take you straight there if you'd like to see her whole selection!)

Her scents are fandom inspired--from everything from anime, Doctor Who, to video games. A girl after my own heart! I myself play some vidya games and watch some anime so I was thrilled to give these a go!

Here's a quick screenshot of some of her selection:

This is only a sample of the variety that she has available in her store. The price is amazing for ANY perfume--at only $5.50 a pop for .33 oz, (9.7 ml) is a heck of a deal in the Indie Perfume world. I have personally seen less product going for $20.00 or more, so you do get a ton of product for your buck!

Let's see the pretties up for review:

Wise Wolf:

This scent is inspired by Holo/Horo from the anime Spice & Wolf (which I love. Holo is adorable) this scent is reminiscent of an apple pie. It smells delicious. This one is light and sweet. It has a hint of cinnamon, brown sugar and a subtle amount of butter. Gourmand and fabulous! This scent is one of two perfumes I keep in my purse--perfect for Fall! I have worn this one at least 3 days a week for the past few weeks, and my coworkers have asked what it is that I'm and women alike, lol. It lasts on my skin for around 5 hours which is nice for a perfume oil. After an hour on my skin, the apple and cinnamon was a bit more dominant.

This scent is inspired by Garrus from Mass Effect. This is the store's number one selling fragrance. This scent is very unisex. It's a nice mixture of wine, blackberry and as in the description, "a spicy wood finish." It has a hint of cleanliness with a drop of cinnamon to it. This is a very unique scent, It's bold, strong and empowering. This one lasted for 6 hours, and it morphed into a really neat clean berry scent on my skin. Yum!

Horizon For Her is inspired by Ashley from Mass Effect. This scent is amazing. Vanilla is my fave flavor, scent etc. and this little gem smells like a land of  cupcakes. I wear this alone, and I even layer it with Wise Wolf and it's just a scent of all things that are good in the world. This is a creamy delectable vanilla scent. This one lasted the longest on me, it was around 7 hours and I could still catch a whiff of pound cake and cupcakes. This is the other perfume that I keep in my purse. If you are looking for a strong and creamy vanilla, this scent's for you!

This one is an unreleased scent which is not yet available! It's inspired by Doctor Who (9th Doctor--David Tennant which is my FAVE Doctor) and it's banana-based. It goes on smelling like bananas, but a subtle clean, sugary candy scent slowly emerges making it absolutely divine! I'm excited to try a new scent that has yet to be if you like candy and bananas--make sure to stop into her store every so often to see if it's available! This particular fragrance lasted about 4 hours on my skin and it seemed like it kept morphing. After about 30 minutes, the banana had disappeared, leaving a fresh and clean sugar smell in it's wake.

Have you tried Fresh N' Geeky Perfumes yet? What's your favorite?

*REVIEW* Colourpop Lippie Stix in Frida and Rocket!

Colourpop--you are too dang cool for my pocketbook. Why do you gotta be so...great? I'm raving mad with love for this brand so far! I absolutely love these shades and I am ecstatic to share them with you! These are long lasting, super creamy, non-drying, opaque lipsticks that will rock your face off--and here's the BEST part...they are only $5.00! Never tried Colourpop? Then you should check out Colourpop's website! Here's two great reasons why you should:

Frida is a warm mid tone pink with a tad bit of beige, making it a nice nude lipstick for some. It is opaque with a satin finish. This one lasted for 4 hours on me without a touch up, which is pretty darn fabulous for a lipstick that's only $5.00. It just blows my mind.

Same slim and sleek packaging. Simple and to the point.

As you can see, this formula does not lack pigmentation. It's very thorough and is smooth to apply. This is just one layer for this swatch.

Rocket is a light but bright pinky coral that is pretty unique in my opinion. It's opaque and has a satin finish.  It reminds me of a vintage coral lipstick--which I absolutely adore. This one lasted 3 and a half hours before I noticed any fading.

Considering that these are in slim tubes, you do get quite  bit of product. These are so opaque that you do not need to continuously layer the product like you would with most drugstore lipsticks. It actually means that these are cheaper than most Maybelline, Covergirl, Loreal and Revlon lipsticks. Sweet!

Again, this swatch is just one layer. I can't rave enough about the company's formula--it really gets the job done!

I adore this brand guys. The price point is more than fair for the formula, it's opaque, smooth, creamy and doesn't dry out my already dry/chapped lips. It lasts around the same amount of time as some of my drugstore lipsticks, but I use less product during application. I am and will continue to be a returning customer and I can't wait to see what else this company releases!

If you want to see more Colourpop Lippie Stix reviews, you can check out my post on Button, Feminist and Bichette. All three are gorgeous!

*REVIEW* Yerba Buena Botanicals on Etsy!

I've been looking for more natural and organic skincare essentials for my dry skin. It's really hot, and I mean REALLY hot this Summer. I felt like my poor flaky skin riddled with dry patches, could use a huge hydration boost. While browsing online, I stumbled across Yerba Buena Botanicals on Etsy.  The company is located in San Francisco. I noticed that they had a rating of 4.9 stars and that's a pretty great rating so after reaching out to them, they were kind enough to send me a few items to try on my skin. The two items I'll be writing about are so nice, and if you are looking for skincare that's more natural, these would be great option! When it comes to skincare--never underestimate a simple formula. Sometimes less really is more, and most high-end brands have like 20+ ingredients in their products. I'm doing my best to actually watch what I put on my skin...I mean, my skin is maturing and the sooner you start taking care of it and finding things to help with your skin's needs, the better for prevention, right?

Here are a few products that I've personally enjoyed:

The first item I'm excited to share with you is the Vanilla Coconut Body Scrub:

This retails for $8.00 which is a great price for something handmade in small batches.

This picture was taken from their online store. All credit goes to the company of course.

I love this scrub--I know it sounds crazy, but I use this on my legs BEFORE shaving my legs. Not only does this stuff smell like all things delicious, but what I get is extremely soft and moisturized legs that are so smooth even I can't stop touching them, lol. This is a big deal for me and I know that it's possibly too much information for you guys, but as soon as I shave my legs, within a few hours they are PRICKLY. It's a curse. I mean, I should probably carry a razor in my purse...I'm just being honest. I ain't happy with that fact. 5 O'clock shadow erry'day all day. I'm a yeti.

This is what's posted on the site about the scrub:

I also use this on my arms (I have dry elbows in Summer) and my skin just feels amazing.

Here is the sample that I have:

The next item I truly enjoy is the Superfood Eye Serum:

This serum retails for $15.00 in their online shop which you can visit here.
This was REALLY nice! I applied this directly under my eyes before bed 3 nights in a row and my fine lines felt and looked a bit softer. With aging and maturing skin, hydration is a must. The skin under my eyes looked brighter and more healthy. Just in case you guys haven't seen many pictures of my eye area without makeup, I don't really have bags, but the skin around the inner corner of my eyes is a bit darker than the rest of my skin. 10 nights of use isn't enough to make a huge difference, but my skin did look brighter and felt so much softer. Overall it brought a youthful and brighter/softer look to my eye area. I will be using this until it runs out! At this rate I will purchase it when the bottle is empty. It hydrated my under eye area far better than some serums I'd spent quite a bit of money on. I will also use this in conjunction with my Hyaluronic Serum as well. Since the Hyaluronic Serum is a carrier, it will help amplify the results I've been getting with this Superfood Serum!

This picture was taken from their online shop. All credit goes to the company itself.

This is what's listed on their website about this serum:

As you can see, the application is via roller ball which makes it's application smooth, easy and mess free.

Overall, I can see why this store has a 4.9 star rating. The creator of these products has spent love, money and time creating simple and natural products for it's customer's skincare needs. Simple and effective--and I love knowing what's being applied to my skin. If I could give these products 10 stars, I absolutely would!
