I do my best to keep my private life off of social media. I haven't been posting as often as I would have liked to, but truthfully, my heart hasn't been in it. My Uncle Mike passed away tonight. I've known this was coming for years now, and I thought I'd have enough time to be prepared for bad news. It doesn't matter how prepared you think you may be, it hurts and my heart is broken. I want the world to know a few things about Mike: This man cared so much about trying to keep our broken family together. When I was 13, my Mom and I had a huge fight. I went to live with my Aunt. He literally drove over 12 hours one way, to talk to me and see how I was doing and to see if there was anything he could do to help my mom and I talk through our feelings...even though he had MS and traveling could be rough on him. He valued family. He was a hard worker. He was a kind and generous person. I've learned a lot from him. I will always aspire to be like my Uncle Mike, and I love and miss him so very much. #reallife #loss #inspirationalpeople #liveyourbestlife #love #imissyou
